Camp Furlong Day 2024
The public is invited to attend Pancho Villa State Park’s Annual Camp Furlong Day. This event occurs as a part of the greater Fiesta de Amistad in the village of Columbus, NM.
During the day, tours of the park exhibit hall will be available. Also, a guided historical tour of the village of Columbus will occur at 8:30 AM. Another guided tour of the park Exhibit Hall will occur at 3:00 PM.
The State Park will offer two special guest speakers providing historical presentations & slide shows in the Park’s Exhibit Hall.

A Battle During the Mexican Expedition
“As tensions amplified between the U.S. and Mexico (during the Carranza government), U.S. Army Mexican Expedition columns pressed deeper into Mexico. We will look beyond the Expedition’s initial “Pursuit Phase” and the subsequent “Patrol District Actions” towards the “End of Active Operations” by investigating one significant battle.
