Fenton Lake State Park is currently open from 6:00am to 9:00pm to accommodate for the busy season. Both sides of the park, Lake Fork and the Fenton Lake side will close nightly at 9:00pm and both gates will be open promptly at 6:00am. If you have a camping reservation and are going to arrive after 9:00pm , please call ahead to the park to let us know so we can make accommodations to get you into your site when you arrive.

Stage II Fire Restrictions: Building, maintaining, attending or using a fire, campfire, charcoal, coal, or wood stove is prohibited. The use of devices fueled solely by liquid petroleum or LPG fuels that can be turned on and off is allowed. Such devices can only be used in an area that is barren or cleared of all overhead and surrounding flammable materials within three (3) feet of the device. Smoking is prohibited, except within an enclosed vehicle or building.

Boating Alert! ?? Fenton Lake State Park's boat ramp is closed along with the surface of the lake to support the McCauley Springs Fire suppression efforts. ALL VESSELS/PADDLE BOARDS/PERSONAL WATERCRAFT ARE PROHIBITED FROM BEING ON THE SURFACE OF THE LAKE UNTIL RESPONSE EFFORTS CEASE AT THE PARK. If you have any questions, please reach out to park staff on location. If you are being impacted by the McCauley Springs Fire a shelter is being set up at the Jemez Springs Baptist Church, located off state highway 126. We ask the public to please remain alert, follow all instructions from fire, emergency and law enforcement personnel and allow them the space they need to manage for incident.
