Bluewater Lake (505) 876-2391
Fireworks are always prohibited at Bluewater Lake State Park 4/30/2018 - ongoing
Wood gathering for camp fires is prohibited within state park boundaries. 4/30/2018 - ongoing
OHV's, ATV's and Dirt bikes are not allowed within park boundries. For information on approved areas and trails in which to recreate, you can visit the Cibola National Forest website at https://www.fs.usda.gov/cibola/ or 5/1/2020 - ongoing
On March 22, 2022, The Boat ramp and courtesy dock at Bluewater Lake will be temporarily closed. This is due to construction of a new boat ramp that will give greater access to visitors once complete. If you wish to launch your vessel you may at your own risk as there will only be undeveloped shoreline until construction is complete. We apologize for the inconvenience. 3/22/2022 - 7/31/2022
**FIRE RESTRICTIONS** Bluewater State Park, is now in Statewide fire restrictions. Pursuant to NMSA, section 68-2-16 . Igniting, building, maintaining, or using a fire, including charcoal and briquettes. Smoking, except within an enclosed vehicle or building, a developed recreation site, or while stopped in an area at least three (3) feet in diameter that is barren or cleared of all flammable material. 4/24/2022 - 8/31/2022

Fire Restrictions are in effect. We do not allow campfires or the use of charcoal. We are allowing the use of generators as long as it is stationed in a barren area clear of vegetation. Smoking is prohibited except in you r vehicle. You may use propane, white gas or kerosene to cook as long as your device is equipped with a shut off valve and used in a barren area clear of vegetation.
