Conchas Lake State Park


New Mexico State Parks issued a “boil water advisory” for the Conchas Lake State Park water system. The water can be made safe by boiling it for at least five minutes at a rolling boil. Alternatively, bottled water can be used. Visitors will be notified when service is returned to normal and the water is again safe to drink. 10/13/2020 - ongoing
All campgrounds in the north area are open. Reservations are required for all developed sites. For reservations visit the park website or call 877-664-7787. 5/10/2022 - ongoing
The boat ramp in the State Park North Area is open. There is a boat ramp open in the Army Corps of Engineers area on the South Side. Lake levels are very low and boaters are advised to use caution. Shoreline launching of trailered boats is not allowed. Hand launching of paddle craft and smaller vessels from the shoreline is allowed. Trailered boats must launch from the south boat ramp. 8/16/2022 - ongoing

Beginning June 1, 2022 the park water system will be closed. There will be no water available and the comfort stations and dump station will be closed. Visitors are encouraged to bring all their water to the park for their stay. 5/10/2022 - ongoing


Stage I Fire Restrictions: Building, maintaining, attending or using a fire, campfire, charcoal, coal, or wood stove is prohibited except in State Park developed camp and picnic grounds where grills and stoves are provided by the State Park. 8/2/2022 - ongoing
The use of devices fueled solely by liquid petroleum or LPG fuels that can be turned on and off is allowed. Such devices can only be used in an area that is barren or cleared of all overhead and surrounding flammable materials within three (3) feet of the device. Smoking is prohibited, except within an enclosed vehicle or building, a developed recreation site/improved site, or while standing in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren or cleared of all flammable material. 8/2/2022 - ongoing
