The New Mexico Oil Conservation Division is pleased to announce improvements to how Facilities and Pits are tracked.
Key changes include:
- Facility & Pit Statuses have been simplified to Active, Cancelled, Inactive, Pending.
- Facilities and Pits that were not in Cancelled or Re-vegetation Report Approved status (e.g. Built, Deactive, Restore) were updated to Active status.
- Facilities and Pits will stay Active until either a Cancellation Request (Cancelled) or a Re-vegetation Report (Inactive) is approved by OCD.
- Facility & Pit Stage are consistent across OCD Permitting. It reflects the most recent documentation and its related next steps.
- Inspections and Site Characterizations no longer impact the status and do not show.
- Historic data has been brought in line with reporting processes.
- Operators registering certain Facilities like Upstream Compressor Stations, Tank Batteries, Flare Stacks, and Natural Gas Gathering Systems will now see additional questions:
- Construction Complete Date
- Has the facility commenced operations? Yes/No
- Commencement Date (If applicable)
