The New Mexico Oil Conservation Division is pleased to announce the upcoming release of a new layout for the WellDetails.aspx page on the OCD Permitting website on 06/04/2026. This update is part of our ongoing effort to improve usability, clarity, and site performance while maintaining access to all existing information.
Key Changes Include:
- Ease of Use
The updated layout provides a cleaner and clearer navigation to help users locate information more efficiently. All content remains available but is presented in a more streamlined and less intrusive format. - Performance Improvement
The page now loads faster and responds more smoothly, enhancing overall site reliability and user experience. - Enhanced Functionality
Users may set their default Navigation Pill and layout for viewing well details, allowing quicker access to the information most important to them. An ArcGIS map of the well location is available to logged in users. - APIs Required for Automated Data Access
Processes which scrape the WellDetails.aspx page should transition to EMNRD's API endpoints with documentation available at https://api.emnrd.nm.gov. The API provide stable, structured, and reliable access to well information.
