PRELIMINARY DOCKET: Examiner Hearing for Thursday, September 7, 2023

Applications for hearing shall be filed at least thirty (30) days in advance of the hearing date. A party who intends to present evidence shall file a pre-hearing statement no later than the close of business on the Thursday prior to the hearing date and serve a copy on the other parties, if any. Applicant seeks an order from the Division pooling all uncommitted mineral interests within a 280-acre, more or less, Bone Spring horizontal spacing unit comprising W2 SW/4 of Section 23, W/2W/2 of Section 26, and the NW/NW of Section 35, Township 18 South, Range 34 East, N.M.P.M., Lea County, New Mexico. Mewbourne Oil Company seeks an order pooling all uncommitted mineral interest owners in the Wolfcamp formation underlying a horizontal spacing unit comprised of the N/2 of Section 9 and the N/2 of Section 8, Township 22 South, Range 27 East, NMPM. 5. 23728 Application of V-F Petroleum Inc. for Compulsory Pooling, Eddy County, New Mexico. Applicant in the above-styled cause seeks an order from the Division pooling all uncommitted mineral interests in the Bone Spring formation, designated as an oil pool, underlying a standard 324.84-acre, more or less, spacing and proration unit comprised of Lots 1 through 4 (N/2 N/2 equivalent) of Sections 4 and 5, Township 19 South, Range 28 East, NMPM, Eddy County, New Mexico. Sections 4 and 5 are irregular Sections which contain correction lots. The proposed wells to be dedicated to the horizontal spacing unit are the Courtman 4 State Com #222H Well, an oil well, to be horizontally drilled from a surface location in Lot 1 (NE/4 NE/4 equivalent) of Section 4 to a bottom hole location in Lot 4 (NW/4 NW/4 equivalent) of Section 5; and the Courtman 4 State Com #232 Well, an oil well, to be horizontally drilled from a surface location in Lot 1 (NE/4 NE/4 equivalent) of Section 4 to a bottom hole location in Lot 4 (NW/4 NW/4 equivalent) of Section 5. The wells will be orthodox, and the take points and completed intervals will comply with the setback requirements under the Division’s Statewide Rules; also to be considered will be the cost of drilling and completing the wells and the allocation of the costs thereof; actual operating costs and charges for supervision; the designation of the Applicant as Operator of the wells and unit; and a 200% charge for the risk involved in drilling and completing the wells. The wells and lands are located approximately 18.5 miles southeast of Artesia, New Mexico.
6. 23685 Application of Spur Energy Partners LLC for Approval of a Pressure Maintenance Project, Eddy County, New Mexico. Applicant in the above-styled cause seeks an order approving a pressure maintenance project in the Yeso formation underlying a project area comprised of all of Section 36, Township 18 South, Range 25 East, and the W/2 W/2 of Section 31, Township 18 South, Range 26 East, NMPM, Eddy County, New Mexico. Produced gas will be injected into the Penasco Draw; San Andres, Yeso Pool (Pool Code 50270) through the Pinto 36 State Com #003H well (API No. 30-015-39782) at a total vertical depth of approximately 2,311 feet to approximately 2,673 feet along the horizontal portion of this wellbore. Spur seeks approval to inject at a maximum surface injection pressure of 670 psi with an average surface injection pressure of approximately 470 psi. Spur proposes to inject produced gas at a maximum rate of 10 MMCF per day with an average daily injection rate of approximately 5 MMCF per day. The source of the produced gas will be the Penasco Draw; San Andres, Yeso Pool. The proposed project is located approximately 10 miles south of Artesia, New Mexico.
7. 22171 Application of Alpha Energy Partners, LLC for Compulsory Pooling, Eddy County, New Mexico. Applicant applies for an order pooling all uncommitted mineral interests in the Wolfcamp formation underlying a 640-acre, more or less, standard horizontal spacing unit comprised of the N/2 of Sections 19 and 20, Township 22 South, Range 27 East, Eddy County, New Mexico (“Unit”). The Unit will be dedicated to The Dude 19/20 Fee 201H and The Dude 19/20 Fee 202H wells (“Wells”). Applicant applies for an order pooling all uncommitted mineral interests in the Wolfcamp formation underlying a 640-acre, more or less, standard horizontal spacing unit comprised of the S/2 of Sections 19 and 20, Township 22 South, Range 27 East, Eddy County, New Mexico (“Unit”). The Unit will be dedicated to The Dude 19/20 Fee 203H and The Dude 19/20 Fee 204H wells (“Wells”). Spur Energy Partners, LLC (“Spur”) requests a one-year extension of time to commence drilling the wells authorized by Order No. R-21859-A. The Unit will be dedicated to the following proposed wells (“Wells”): the Tarheel Federal Com 504H well, which will be drilled from a surface hole location in the SE/4 SW/4 (Unit N) of Section 15 to a bottom hole location in the NE/4 NW/4 (Unit C) of Section 10; and the Tarheel Federal Com 505H and Tarheel Federal Com 506H wells, which will be drilled from a surface hole location in the SW/4 SW/4 (Unit M) of Section 15 to a bottom hole location in the NW/4 NW/4 (Unit D) of Section 10. The completed intervals of the Wells will be orthodox. Due to a depth severance in the Bone Spring formation, Applicant seeks to pool interests in the Second Bone Spring Formation from the stratigraphic equivalent of approximately 9894.73’ TVD to the base of the Second Bone Spring Formation at a stratigraphic equivalent of approximately 10422.84’ TVD. The completed interval of the Tarheel Federal Com 505H well will be located within 330’ of the quarter-quarter section line separating the W/2 W/2 and E/2 W/2 of Sections 10 and 15 to allow for the creation of a 640-acre standard horizontal spacing unit. Also to be considered will be the cost of drilling and completing the Wells and the allocation of the cost, the designation of Applicant as operator of the Wells, and a 200% charge for the risk involved in drilling and completing the Wells.
