PRELIMINARY DOCKET: Special OCD Examiner's Hearing set for January 13, 2026

For hearings by affidavit: presenting parties are required to submit a pre-hearing statement no later than the Thursday before the hearing. The pre-hearing statement shall include: 1) a list of disputed facts and issues; 2) identification of witnesses and their qualifications; and 3) all exhibits and written testimony a party intends to enter into evidence at the hearing and a full narrative for each.

For contested matters: pre-hearing statements shall be filed no later than 9:00 a.m., 4 business days prior to the hearing and in addition to the requirements of 19.15.4.13.B(1) NMAC, shall include: all evidentiary exhibits, documents, affidavits, and full-written testimony of any witness a party offers at the hearing. Exhibits must be sequentially marked on every page.

Failure to timely file a complete pre-hearing statement may cause the Hearing Examiner to continue the hearing and/or impose sanctions up to and including the exclusion of late-filed evidence. Evidentiary objections must be filed no later than 48 hours before the hearing. Rulings on the objections will be addressed as a preliminary matter when the case is called.

Select Water Solutions, LLC (“Select Water”) (OGRID No. 289068) applies for an order approving its proposed Coyote Fed 14 SWD #1, to be drilled at a location 2,026’ from the north line and 1,070’ from the east line (Unit H) of Section 14, Township 26 South, Range 35 East, Lea County, New Mexico, for the purpose of produced water disposal. Select Water seeks authorization to inject produced water into the Bell Canyon and Cherry Canyon formations (SWD; Bell Canyon-Cherry Canyon; Code 96802), at a depth of approximately 5,175 feet to 7,500 feet. Select Water proposes to inject an average of 15,000 barrels of water per day up to a maximum of 20,000 barrels of water per day, and requests that the Division approve a maximum surface injection pressure of 1,035 psi. The well is located approximately 9.75 miles SW of Jal, New Mexico.
2. 25546 Application of Select Water Solutions, LLC for Approval of a Saltwater Disposal Well, Lea County, New Mexico. Select Water Solutions, LLC (“Select Water”) (OGRID No. 289068) applies for an order approving its proposed Roadrunner Fed 26 SWD #1, to be drilled at a location 2,054’ from the north line and 2,126’ from the east line (Unit G) of Section 26, Township 26 South, Range 35 East, Lea County, New Mexico, for the purpose of produced water disposal. Select Water seeks authorization to inject produced water into the Bell Canyon and Cherry Canyon formations (SWD; Bell Canyon-Cherry Canyon; Code 96802), at a depth of approximately 5,400 feet to 7,425 feet. Select Water proposes to inject an average of 15,000 barrels of water per day up to a maximum of 20,000 barrels of water per day, and requests that the Division approve a maximum surface injection pressure of 1,080 psi. The well is located approximately 11.04 miles SW of Jal, New Mexico.
3. 25547 Application of Select Water Solutions, LLC for Approval of a Saltwater Disposal Well, Lea County, New Mexico. Select Water Solutions, LLC (“Select Water”) (OGRID No. 289068) applies for an order approving its proposed Javelina Fed 4 SWD #1, to be drilled at a location 408’ from the south line and 831’ from the east line (Unit P) of Section 4, Township 26 South, Range 35 East, Lea County, New Mexico, for the purpose of produced water disposal. Select Water seeks authorization to inject produced water into the Bell Canyon and Cherry Canyon formations (SWD; Bell Canyon-Cherry Canyon; Code 96802), at a depth of approximately 5,360 feet to 7,550 feet. Select Water proposes to inject an average of 15,000 barrels of water per day up to a maximum of 20,000 barrels of water per day, and requests that the Division approve a maximum surface injection pressure of 1,072 psi. The well is located approximately 10.95 miles SW of Jal, New Mexico.
4. 25548 Application of Select Water Solutions, LLC for Approval of a Saltwater Disposal Well, Lea County, New Mexico. Select Water Solutions, LLC (“Select Water”) (OGRID No. 289068) applies for an order approving its proposed Jackrabbit Fed SWD #1, to be drilled at a location 556’ from the south line and 1,968’ from the east line (Unit O) of Section 28, Township 26 South, Range 35 East, Lea County, New Mexico, for the purpose of produced water disposal. Select Water seeks authorization to inject produced water into the Bell Canyon and Cherry Canyon formations (SWD; Bell Canyon-Cherry Canyon; Code 96802), at a depth of approximately 5,305 feet to 7,750 feet. Select Water proposes to inject an average of 15,000 barrels of water per day up to a maximum of 20,000 barrels of water per day, and requests that the Division approve a maximum surface injection pressure of 1,061 psi. The well is located approximately 12.93 miles SW of Jal, New Mexico.
5. 25549 Application of Select Water Solutions, LLC for Approval of a Saltwater Disposal Well, Lea County, New Mexico. Select Water Solutions, LLC (“Select Water”) (OGRID No. 289068) applies for an order approving its proposed Antelope Fed 28 SWD #1, to be drilled at a location 629’ from the south line and 2,543’ from the west line (Unit N) of Section 28, Township 25 South, Range 35 East, Lea County, New Mexico, for the purpose of produced water disposal. Select Water seeks authorization to inject produced water into the Bell Canyon and Cherry Canyon formations (SWD; Bell Canyon-Cherry Canyon; Code 96802), at a depth of approximately 5,270 feet to 7,545 feet. Select Water proposes to inject an average of 15,000 barrels of water per day up to a maximum of 20,000 barrels of water per day, and requests that the Division approve a maximum surface injection pressure of 1,054 psi. The well is located approximately 10.85 miles west of Jal, New Mexico.
6. 25562 Application of Pride Energy Company for compulsory pooling, Lea County, New Mexico: Pride Energy Company (“Applicant”) has filed an application with the Oil Conservation Division requesting an order pooling all uncommitted mineral interest owners in the Wolfbone formation (Scharb; Wolfbone Pool) underlying a horizontal spacing unit comprised of the W/2W/2 of Section 12 and the W/2W/2 of Section 13, Township 19 South, Range 34 East, NMPM, Lea County, New Mexico (the “Unit). Applicant proposes to drill the Go State Com. Well No. 401H in the Unit to a depth sufficient to test the Wolfbone formation, The first take point will be in the SW/4SW/4 of Section 13 and the last take point will be in the NW/4NW/4 of Section 12. Due to a depth severance in the Unit, the Division will consider the allocation of production between the Third Bone Spring Sand and the Wolfcamp A Shale in the proposed well. Also to be considered will be the cost of drilling, completing, testing, and equipping the well, and the allocation of the cost thereof among the well’s working interest owners, designation of Applicant as operator of the well and the Unit, approval of actual operating charges and costs charged for supervision, together with a provision adjusting the rates pursuant to the COPAS accounting procedure, and setting a 200% charge for the risk involved in drilling, completing, testing, and equipping the well in the event a working interest owner elects not to participate in the well. The Unit is located approximately 15-1/2 miles north-northeast of Halfway, New Mexico.
7. 25564 Application of Coterra Energy Operating Co. for a Compulsory Pooling, Lea County, New Mexico. Applicant in the above-styled cause seeks an order an order pooling all uncommitted mineral interests in the Wolfbone Pool, designated as an oil pool, encompassing the Third Bone Spring and Upper Wolfcamp formations, underlying a standard 320-acre, more or less, spacing and proration unit comprised of the W/2 W/2 of Sections 12 and 13, Township 19 South, Range 34 East, NMPM, Lea County, New Mexico The proposed well to be dedicated to the horizontal spacing unit is the Showbiz 13-12 State Com 301H Well, an oil well, to be horizontally drilled from a surface location in the SW/4 SW/4 (Unit M) of Section 13 to a bottom hole location in the NW/4 NW/4 (Unit D) of Section 12. The well will be orthodox, and the take points and completed intervals will comply with the setback requirements under the statewide Rules; also to be considered will be the proper allocation formula to account for nonuniform ownership across a depth severance in the Wolfbone Pool; the cost of drilling and completing the well and the allocation of the costs thereof; actual operating costs and charges for supervision; the designation of the Applicant as Operator of the wells and unit; and a 200% charge for the risk involved in drilling and completing the wells. The wells and lands are located approximately 15.5 miles north-northeast of Halfway, New Mexico.
