01/09/2018 2RP-4558 C-141 received 1/08/2018 for release 1/04/2018. Cause listed as,” MSO arrived on location and found the oil tank overflowing into secondary containment. The associated producing wells and the facility were shut down. Supervisor was contacted, and immediate efforts were made to contain the release. Spill volumes are as follows: 420 barrels total fluid spilled = 250 barrels oil & 17- barrels produced water. 345 barrels of fluid recovered = 224 barrels oil & 121 barrels of produced water. 35 barrels of fluid spilled outside of secondary containment. 14 barrels of fluid recovered outside of secondary containment. Spill area will be remediated per NMOCD guidelines. ” Area affected listed as, “Area 1 – 11,200 square feet outside of dike Area 2 – 4,500 square feet inside dike”
