XTO is providing a Site update for PLU 28 Big Sinks East (Incident Number nAPP2300343390). The release was discovered on December 22, 2022 an extension request was approved through yesterday 6/20/23. Site assessment, delineation and excavation of impacted soil is completed, however, final laboratory analytical reports are pending, though expected to be received today, June 21, 2023. Once the final analytical data is received XTO will finalize the Closure Request detailing remediation work completed and submit to the NMOCD portal. XTO is requesting a 7 day extension to 6/27/2023 to finalize the report and submit to the portal. |

The cause of the release was reported as “A regulator valve on the main sales line froze, causing vessel to overpressure sending fluid out of the PRV. No fluids were recovered.
